Succulent, dry-aged beef
To ensure the most tender cut of beef every time, we’re delighted to have a state-of-the-art dry-ageing cabinet in our shop – and we’re the only butcher in Portsmouth to offer this service.
To effectively dry-age beef, it is stored in a closely controlled refrigerated cabinet for several weeks. During this time, all moisture slowly evaporates from the meat and its natural enzymes break down the muscle fibres to create a superior product with intensified flavours and enhanced tenderness.
Astles at home
'Astles at Home’ is our bespoke range of oven-ready dishes, carefully formulated by our amazing chef, turned butcher, Brad who joined us from a much-loved Southsea restaurant.
Freshly prepared on site, these dishes are packed with flavour and ready to cook from the comfort of your own oven – we even provide them in an ovenproof container!
It couldn’t be simpler.
